So … I’ve been busy working toward a NASM Personal Training Certification through Lifetime Fitness Academy, along with my full-time job as a management consultant, so here is a little about what I’ve learned so far…
Four Things I learned about Business Strategy from Personal Training
- You’ve gotta have a plan to reach a goal, broken into long-term, near-term, and daily.
- When you face a challenge, your body will first exhaust it’s resources, then will bounce back past homeostasis into overcorrection, will need to recover, and then should be challenged again when mostly recovered before returning to full rest. This is how you grow.
- If you push too far to fast, you’ll overtrain and will need a long time to recover.
- You can accomplish great things, one step at a time.
These things hold true for fitness, starting a business, or any other area of focus.
You do you.
